The Common Entry Examination (CAT) is the most sought-after exam after entering the MBA in India. The CAT test was conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management as a prerequisite for the admission of graduates and other management programs offered by the institutions of the Prime Minister. In addition to all the Indian Institute of management, more than 100 B schools accept CAT schools to make their admission. There are about 2 Lakh students who come out of the exams every year. About 4000 seats are offered for admission to 20 IIMs.
Registration for CAT 2017 started on 9 August 2017 and will end on 20 September 2017. This information diagram provides a clear overview of the CAT Exam. It is given once a year for 2hrs and 60 min. The test dates start in October and end in November. The examination fee is INR 1600 for the standard candidate and 800 INR for the SC / ST / OBC student.
